Library orientation

This guide provides essential information about using the library and related services. It is targeted at students studying creative arts subjects such as fashion design, photography, film, fine art, etc. 

A range of other library guides are available, including specific guides for fashion business and music, plus Image/Moving Image sources, and Magazines, Newspapers and Journals at Harrow.

Library spaces

The library at Harrow is one of three libraries you can use at the university, each having a variety of study spaces, and long opening hours.  You will automatically be registered with the library once you obtain your university ID card.  See using the library for more information.

Library resources

The library has extensive book collections, magazines, academic journals and e-resources to support your studies and these can be searched using Library Search - the online catalogue.  The using the library page explains more and the e-resources page highlights key e-resources.

Help with studying

The Academic Engagement and Learning Development team offer workshops and one-to-one appointments for students.  There is also an enquiry service for many aspects of university life managed by the student centre.  The getting help page explains more and the study skills resources page provides access to some self-help resources.
