We’re thrilled to announce that the first floor of the Marylebone Library is reopening on Monday 23rd September!
The first floor now features a great mix of modern and comfortable furniture, making it the perfect spot to study or relax. We have also moved the “read and relax” and wellbeing book collections down to the first floor. So now, as soon as you walk in, you’ll see these collections, adding a welcoming and cozy vibe to the space.
We’re also planning to add some greenery to the area! We’re working with the Estates team to find the best way to bring in some plants, which will make the space even more inviting and relaxing.
Our amazing library and facilities teams have been working hard to get everything ready for the reopening. They’ve been setting up the new furniture and making sure the first floor looks fantastic. Huge thanks to them for all their hard work!
Please make sure you display your lanyards with ID cards in the library space. This will help keep everything organized and ensure everyone has a great experience.
This updated space is designed to make your time here more enjoyable and productive. So come on in, check out the new amenities, and make yourself at home.
We are excited to announce that the 1st floor of Marylebone Library is set to reopen on 23rd September. The refurbishment project has been a great success, with the finishing touches being completed in the next few days. These finishing touches include greenery plants and new upholstery on the seating. We can't wait for you to come and see the transformation in person. The changes have created a more comfortable and modern study environment for our students. Additionally, enrollment for new students will take place on one half of the floor for two weeks starting 23rd September. We look forward to welcoming you back!
In the next few weeks, the refurbishment of the Marylebone Library will be complete. The space is coming alive with a fresh coat of paint, bespoke furniture in place, and various new features taking shape. Round seating, book displays, and high-standing tables have been installed, creating a dynamic and inviting environment.
Alongside the windows, individual study seating is being fitted, offering a mix of group study and individual space areas. This thoughtful arrangement ensures that all students can find a spot that suits their study preferences. Additionally, wooden beams have been added to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the space, giving it a warm and welcoming feel.
Not long now until we open the doors to this newly transformed area. We are excited to share this journey with you and look forward to welcoming you to the newly designed space!
The study space is coming together beautifully with the assembly of bespoke furniture being fitted in.
These pieces are not only functional but also add a touch of elegance and warmth to the study spaces.
The aim is to create an environment that feels both professional and inviting, encouraging students to spend more time in the library and make the most of the resources available.
We're making great progress on the first floor of our Marylebone library. Right now, we're in the middle of cleaning and clearing out the area to prepare for the next big step: making sure the floor is completely flat and smooth.
This means no more unexpected bumps or dips when you're walking through. At the moment, the floor has a fresh, shiny look, but there's still more work to do as we continue improving our space for you.
