Finding Help

Our Libraries are open as per the hours below. We also continue to support you online via live chat and our Academic Engagement  Librarians and Learning Developers are able to offer advice online.  

Our chat service operates 10 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and 11 am to 5 pm on Sundays. 

Please be aware that the unpredictable nature of the global situation means that opening hours are subject to change.

 

Opening Hours

**Please note - Due to essential maintenance work, Regent Library (LTS) will be closed on Saturday 5th February. The Library will close at 11pm on Friday 4th February and reopen at 11am Sunday 6th February. Please use study spaces and facilities at Cavendish Library during this short period and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.**

All Libraries (Open 24/5)

4th January - 19th May

Sunday: 11.00 - Open all night (24 hours)*

Monday to Thursday: 24 hours

Friday: Open until 23.00

Saturday: 11.00 to 23.00

*The Library is open continually from 11am on Sunday through to 11pm on Friday. On Saturdays the Library is open from 11.00 to 23.00.


Study Space

All libraries provide designated group, individual and distanced individual study space. Posters clearly identify these spaces. For the safety and comfort of all, please respect the guidelines outlined on the posters. If you need further information, please check with library staff onsite.

Group Study - Room Bookings: You can book group study rooms at our libraries at Cavendish, Marylebone and Regent Campuses using the booking service available through timetabling

Rooms can be booked for the current week and a week in advance.

Each study group:

  • should consist of at least 3 people
  • can book a room for up to 2 hours a day
  • can book for a maximum of 4 hours a week

Harrow Library has two rooms on the first floor that you can use for group study and you don't need to book them in advance. 

Other available study spaces: The University has launched a new service that allows you to see what teaching spaces are not currently booked for teaching and available for you to use as a quiet study space. Find out more about this on the University webpages

 


Borrowing and Returning Books

Book collections across all libraries are open. You can browse the shelves and borrow items on our self-service machines.
