Welcome to The Library and Archives Service. In response to circumstances surrounding COVID-19 we are operating a reduced service but are broadening access to spaces and physical collections wherever possible. 

Cavendish Library Closure

9 - 15 August 2021

Cavendish Library will be closed from Monday 9 August to Sunday 15 August. This is to carry out essential maintenance work on our air handling system ahead of the next academic year. Alternative study spaces will be available at Marylebone and Harrow Libraries. There will be no access Cavendish collections during this period, please borrow items you will need by Friday 6 August.

Opening Hours

Our book collection will re-open for browsing and borrowing on 2nd August at Cavendish, Harrow and Marylebone Libraries.

Library counters at Cavendish, Harrow and Marylebone will re-open 11:00-3:00 from 16th August.

Our chat service continues to operate 9:00-17:00 Monday-Friday and 11:00-17:00 on Saturdays. 

Plans for Regent Library will be confirmed shortly.

Book a Space

Cavendish, Harrow and Marylebone libraries are open for study via Book a Space as follows : 

Cavendish and Harrow 

Monday to Friday 11am to 7pm.

Marylebone

Monday to Friday 11am to 7pm

Saturdays 11am to 6pm.

Please note that we will be CLOSED on 30th August for the Bank Holiday.

Please be aware that the unpredictable nature of the global situation means that these hours are subject to change.


Borrowing and Returning Books

Prior to book collections at Cavendish, Harrow and Marylebone re-opening on 2nd August we are offering a Click and Collect service. Please request the items you need via Library Search

You can now return items (including those from Regent Library) to Cavendish, Harrow and Marylebone libraries.

It's vital that we prioritise the wellbeing of students and staff and minimise the number of people coming onsite wherever possible. For this reason we are preventing anyone from reserving books that are checked out to another user
