What is a Library Sensory Map?

• Sensory maps are created for each library campus to highlight areas with strong sensory features like bright lights, loud sounds, or quiet zones
• Designed to support users with sensory sensitivities, including neurodivergent visitors.
• Useful for planning visits and finding the most comfortable study or reading environments

• Examples include marking silent study areas, noisy equipment zones, or spaces with strong smells or lighting​​​​
