  • Understanding your study materials
    Do you have strategies for making sense of what you're learning? To get the most out of your course, attend lectures and tutorials, ask questions, and use your reading list. You can also try simpler explanations from sources like Google, Wikipedia, videos, or AI tools to complement, not replace, academic sources. 

  • Knowing how to tackle assignments
    Are you confident in writing essaysreportsreflections, or dissertations? Do you know how to research effectively and manage your references? If not, check out our Academic Skills Guides and the support available from the AELD team.

  • Disability-related challenges
    If you have, or suspect you have, a disability that affects your time or attention management, you can contact the university’s Disability Learning Support team for additional help and adjustments.
