In a single search you can discover the holdings of the UK’s National Libraries (including the British Library), many university libraries, and specialist research libraries.
Not all libraries allow access to undergraduates and taught-postgraduates so check your eligibility on the Sconul Access website.
If the book, journal article or thesis you need is not available at our libraries or online for free, you can request it from an external library. This is known as an Inter-Library Loan (ILL) request. See the link below for further information about making an Inter-Library Loan request.

The British Library is the national research library of the United Kingdom and contains some of the best collections in the world, including over 45,000 electronic journals and 800 electronic databases. Both print and digital resources are accessed in the British Library Reading Rooms.
